Description :
Virar is the nearest railway station near Mumbai to get to this site. Virar is also connected via - Mumbai Ahmedabad highway. The site is recently found so local people may not be of much help.

These are series of hills about 9 kilometers from Virar Station. Heights vary from 100 feet to 400 feet.

100-350 feet

No trees or electric poles. The take off areas are small but offer enough space for laying your glider for takeoff.

Huge open ground for landing

Description:
The smallest hill is about 100 feet to practice your takeoffs and landings. The climb to takeoff is very gradual and hence you can have multiple flights in one day.Soaring on this small hill is difficult for beginners. There are two other hills which have higher takeoffs and offer soaring flights. These hills are at remote locations hence flying should always be done in groups with logistic support.  One can try multiple sites in one day to improve your skills.

Paragliding season is from September to May, the last three months are ideal for soaring flights in Vasai-Virar area. These months are also good for training. Regulations & Licensing in India

Paragliding, Hang gliding and Paramotoring are not regulated by DGCA or Aero Club of India, so no license is required to fly anywhere in India. However all pilots are expected to maintain a logbook to show their experience level. In absence of national policies, many states in India have come up with safety guidelines to reduce risk factors and control accidents.
